Arsen A. Dadekian
Arsen has been drawing since childhood and began oil painting in 1997. In 2001, he was accepted into the highly esteemed Providence Art Club as an “Artist Member.” He is also a member of the Newport Art Museum’s “Artist Guild,” and has exhibited his art in numerous galleries in Providence, Newport and Los Angeles, California.
His subject matter is primarily landscapes, which Arsen paints from his extensive travels around the world. His paintings have appeared in numerous newspapers including The Providence Journal’s “LIVE” section. Arsen donates paintings to support many nonprofit organizations in Rhode Island. Most recently, he made his yearly art donation to support public television which was auctioned in October on PBS during its annual fund raising events.
When asked to describe his painting, Arsen states, “The finished product is an extension of a unique person; from the composition, to the choice of colors, the variations are infinite. As in nature, no two people, tree or scene are identical. This expression and evolution of a painting are a meaningful journey for me, the artist.”
