7th Annual Members Exhibition
The Galleries of the Providence Art Club are pleased to host the Art League of Rhode Island’s 7th Annual Members’ Exhibition. In their first major exhibition in Providence, the Art League of Rhode Island will partner with the historic Providence Art Club, filling its galleries with an all-media exhibition.
During this three-week show, the community is invited to attend two Sunday lectures organized by the ALRI. The first, scheduled for Sunday, September 16th, 3:00–3:30pm, will feature Joan Backes, painter and installation artist. Backes is currently serving as an adjunct professor in the Art Department at Brown University. A second lecture will be held Sunday, September 23rd, also from 3:00–3:30pm, and will feature David Henry, Program Director for the Institute of Contemporary Art. In addition to his current position at the ICA, Henry is the former Director of Education for the Rhode Island School of Design.
